Stan Fockner explains how these clocks were made. "Most of the Rockex clocks were produced by Lou Berube, the "father tech" behind the OCAMS and later, NOCAMS message switching system used by Foreign Affairs Canada.

Ernie Tierney worked behind the scenes in Ottawa and produced modifications for equipment that made communicator's and technician's work easier. Some of the technicians had access to "Ernie's Shop" and could manufacture their own clocks as personal contributions to their final destruction.  He allowed me to use his equipment to make my own Mark V clock".
