STRIP CIPHER  - U.S.A./U.K. - 1944

Bruce Watson was a Radioman in the U.S. Navy and retired as an RMCS in 1986 after 23 years of service. He offers the following comments about this strip cipher device.

"I used one sparingly onboard the USS Norfolk (DL 1) while serving with COMSOLANT (Commander South Atlantic Forces) out of San Juan, Puerto Rico.  It was a cumbersome system, very time consuming, and fraught with easy ways to lose ones place".
